A few days ago, I told you that I've joined a gym, and I've been going to the gym and actually working out. I generally bike/walk 6 miles each time I go, then do some of the weight machines. On some blog (it hadn‘t been updated since sometime last year and although I commented, I never heard back), somewhere out there I saw a button that said, "I exercise for comments, 1 comment=1 sit up" and I thought it was a great idea!
So in addition to my workouts at the gym I will be doing 1 sit up, crunch, something for each comment I get. I like that you guys can help keep me motivated simply by talking to me.
It took me a few days to come up with what I wanted for the button to represent this endeavor, but after a few little drawings, Dennis went into Photoshop and made me the button you see at the top of the post and on my sidebar. Isn’t it cute!? And even though he laughs at my hair choice (he’s says it looks like an onion head), that is how I wear my hair to exercise, when it’s long enough. The musical note is because I listen to my mp3 player while exercising.
If you want to join in, I welcome you. Go ahead, steal the button and leave me your link and I’ll add you to the bottom of this post. In the future I’ll be adding a link to track my progress but we’re just starting out so, let’s go!

Fellow exercisers:
HOLY COW Lisa!!!!! I have been over perusing the Newdae site....SO much I
wasn't aware of! It's a terrific website and your photography is nothing
short of amazing. Very, very well done my friend!! Keep up the good
work!!
I love your beautiful photography.
Wow...you drive much miles with your biscycle!Good luck with your gym!
Great idea and great button, too!
That's a great button~ keep exercising. I feel exhausted just thinking
about it!
That button is too cool! But I suggest 5 situps for every comment :)
Great idea. I'm cheering for you.
Good luck with your exercise plan! We've gotten so fat over here that
nothing fits but our sweats. Just your 6 mile bike ride should make a
difference but those crunches will really shape things up. You should post
your "after" pictures to motivate us LOL
You are such a role model person...Ugggg...awesome pictures..exercise.. Can
you hear the groan in my thoughts... Last night when we were driving by one
of those 24 hour fitness places I thought to myself.."see there is no
excuse cause you can go whenever the spirit moves you..and I could walk on
the tredmill the weather wouldn't be an excuse"..Yep all this was in my
brain, ON THE WAY TO DAIRY QUEEN.
Well, I think that's a grand idea. When you get REALLY in shape, I think
it should be TWO crunches per comment!!!
I think this is a great idea. I might join you on this, on a new blog
venture I'm joining up with some ladies on starting tomorrow. Let me think
on it...I'll get back to you.
Ooooooh darlin - you're brave! Have one for me then.
awesome! I have been working out for a while and my abs are kickin' but
umm, they're still covered in pudge. sigh.
Great idea. However, there will be no situps for me. I'm quickly reaching
that point where I can't even get up from the couch without help. heh
heh....but I will be helping YOU get in shape!
So, um - how many sit-ups can you do???
I'm just curious, because I could comment forever....heh heh heh
But, I won't.
Cute button!
I love it and I love the button. Good luck with the exercising! I love
running but I hate hate hate the weight machines so dull. Maybe I should
do it for that although I might have to do i comment = 10 reps if I hope
to make a difference.
Good luck and good exercising. I've never been a joiner, as far as
exercising. Now, I get a lot of exercise with my part-time job at Barnes
and Noble, and teaching Tai Chi/QiGung provides the rest.
I don't think I receive enough comments for this to work for me - I'd have
to do at least 20 or 30 for each one - but I think it's a great idea and I
love the button. Good luck with all the exercising! :-)
I love your button! I may have to put it on my "Finding My Inner, Thinner
Self" blog (if I can figure out how to do that sidebar thing). Of course,
I don't get that many comments over there - I'm a bit sporadic posting to
that blog.
Yet one more reason you always inspire! What a fantab idea!
WOW. What an amazing idea. I need to comment like fifty times in a row.
I might need to do this! I have 0 (zero) motivation.
I love the button. I am not motivated to use it on my blog yet however. I
think it is a great idea. And I love the hair you chose.
That's a great idea Lisa!
I love the button, I might steal it, but I'm not sure about the sit ups
though!
But I think it's always a good idea to tell people you love
comments?
Good of you to do exercise. I am enjoying brisk walking too :)
Who am I to stand in the way of your healthy endeavor? A comment for you to
continue on the exercise path. While I should join in . . . I'm not . . .
at least not for now. But I'll file this away for future reference. The
button is adorable! :D
Enjoy this situp. :)
Work, girl, work! You ARE going to do these all at once, right?
You're going to be one healthy lady with all these comments.
This is a cool idea. I'm not sure if it would work over at AOL but I'm
going to try :-)
I posted in my provate journal and also at a shared community journal. The
link here is to the entry on the community journal. I committed to 10
crunches per comment! -- I'm gonna be hot by summer, LOL! :-)
Thanks a lot pal -- I said motivate me not kill me! LOL! You should see
what my so called friends have done to me on my private journal! Now I see
why you only committed to one crunch per comment! I'm gonna be hurting
tomorrow!
Here's one more for you -- just a little tiny payback. I'm here for you too
:-P
you really mean
that every time
I post a comment,
you have to
do a scrunch
or a sit up
fancy that!
I'm feeling
sadistic
LOL this is a fantastic idea!! I should join...but the Pamela would do to
me what she did to you!! I think it is hilarious that her daughter thinks
just like her!!
Lisa, Martha sent me here, and I think this is a great idea. I am going to
snag your tag and put it in my journals and challenge myself to do one
crunch for each comment I receive in all of my journals on a daily basis.
I think this is a wonderful motivational tool! Thanks!
